Razer Launches Xbox-Themed Kishi V2 Controller with Colorful Design
Razer is set to launch a special version of its popular Kishi V2 mobile gaming controller specifically designed for Xbox. This edition will be offered in two variants, one compatible with iPhone and the other with Android phones, and will incorporate numerous Xbox-focused features. Notably, the controllers will showcase recognizable Xbox branding and a cohesive white color scheme.
Xbox integration isn’t just cosmetic. There’s updated companion software that takes full advantage of the brand partnership, including full integration with Game Pass and new haptics to match AAA Xbox games. This gives these controllers cross compatibility with hundreds of games available through the platform and the magic of cloud streaming. Razer says this update has been optimized for lag-free gaming, with various inputs improved for better control and accuracy. There’s also a dedicated Xbox button for launching the controller and launching Game Pass.
The exterior has been tweaked to improve ergonomics during long Game Pass sessions. The analog bumper triggers are more pronounced and the whole thing has a soft feel that should be easy on the hands during use.
Of course, you’re not limited to Xbox games here. This is still a standard Kishi Pro controller that works with the Razer Nexus app, so you can play PC games, smartphones and more. For this, there is a virtual controller mode that allows you to map buttons to match a specific game.
Razer’s Kishi controllers have been a big hit for the company, starting with an Android model and eventually including an iPhone version. This latest release joins the wider release of the Kishi V2 Pro, which features a headphone jack and the aforementioned haptics. The Pro Controller isn’t exactly new, but it was previously tied exclusively to the Razer Edge gaming handheld. Now you can buy it as a stand-alone in this Xbox format or through more obvious options.
